Ubud Monkey Forest is inhabited by a band of grey haired and greedy long tailed Balinese macaques, officially called Mandala Wisata Wanara Wana. Ubud Monkey Forest occupies 27 lush, green acres at the lower end of Jalan Monkey Forest in the village of Padangtegal. Home to over 400 long tailed macaques (Macaca fascicularis) which are divided into 4 groups that occupy different areas of the park, it is an important cultural and spiritual site that welcomes upwards of 10,000 visitors each month. The Monkey Forest Sanctuary is actually owned and operated by the village of Padangtegal, with village members serving on a governing council that seeks to uphold the integrity of the grounds while promoting it as a tourist destination.

Tegalalang Rice Terrace offers the stunning view of rice field where the tourist come and see this amazing and spectacular panorama every day on the way to Kintamani. Taman Ayun Temple built in 1634 by Tjokorda Sakti Blambangan with Chinese architectural inspirations and underwent a significant restoration project in 1937. Towering tiers from the temple shrines make up most of the profile of Taman Ayun Temple and are a gesture of the people of Mengwi reverence to their deified noble ancestors, for the temple complex is considered the mother temple of Mengwi. The temple was to serve as a main site of worship among the Mengwi people who need not travel too far to the main large temples, the likes of the Besakih mother temple in Karangasem, Batukaru Temple in Tabanan or Batur Temple in Kintamani. It also served as a unifying symbol among the Mengwi royalty and the people.
