Located on the black sand beaches of Bali’s north coast, Lovina is a far cry from the bustling tourist centres in the south of this Bali island. It’s an area of comparative peace and quiet, next to a flat, calm sea. Need 2.5 hours drive from Kuta to Lovina beach, the boats almost universally depart at 6am in the morning, prior to sunrise. Heading out with our local fisherman in a traditional outrigger boat, and join a crowd of dozens of similar boats. But soon after spot first dolphins of the morning. What’s more certain is that you’ll get to watch a beautiful sunrise from out on the water, unless the cloud cover is particularly heavy. As we walked to our boat a few flashes of lightning could be seen. But the cloud cover was slight enough that it merely resulted in the clouds being painted in beautiful shades of pink and orange, as our boat bobbed around in an area to itself, the orange ball of the sun rising above the horizon. Gradually the twinkling lights up in the hills above the coastline disappeared, the green forested slopes emerging from the dawn.
After watching dolphin, continue to the central part of Lovina, is one huge diving and snorkeling spot. You can see thousands of reef fish and vast sections of healthy coral just from the surface but you can also dive among coral canyons with the occasional dolphin or turtle cruising by.

Amazing untouched nature in North Bali, Sambangan Village is known as The Secret Village, it is only a 15-minute drive from Singaraja. It is a stunning location abundant in wildlife and scenic views; be surrounded by vast forests on route to the many waterfalls which can be found here. On average it takes around 30 minutes trekking from the starting point to get to the waterfall area, you will see paddy fields, cloves trees, cocoa trees, marigold fields, and beautiful hill views along the way.
Aling-aling is the largest waterfall, Blue Lagoon, Kroya waterfall and more can also be found here. The Secret Village is perfect for water activities as you can swim, enjoy water sliding and even jump off cliffs into the water! Upon arrival you will be offered a guide which is compulsory, they will guide you through the forest and ensure your safety during activities. This is a fantastic experience which can be enjoyed by all ages.
