Day 1: Tambolaka airport – Ratenggaro village -Mbawana Beach
Pass By: Tambolaka, Southwest Sumba Regency, East Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia
Arrive at Tambolaka airport and meet with your driver who will escort you to hostel, Check in hostel and Lunch
Stop At: Kampung Adat Ratenggaro, Sumba 87112 Indonesia
Ratenggaro village is located in the village of Umbu Ngedo, about 30 kilometers from Tambolaka

Waimarang Waterfall, Hidden Oasis in East Sumba, – Eastern Indonesia region has a stunning natural beauty. In addition to the beautiful coastal line, the area of Eastern Indonesia also has other natural attractions that you can visit. For example a waterfall.
Waimarang Waterfall has become one of the natural destinations that is unfortunately missed while visiting Sumba Island
From Waingapu City, it takes about 2 hours to drive to get there. Although far, you will not be bored because on both sides of the paved road is presented with beautiful views of the hills and meadows.
This waterfall has a natural pool with clear water. And tourists can swim or soak in this place while enjoying the beautiful scenery around the waterfall.
Because the location is quite far from the village, tourists should also bring enough food and drink. After a long journey, you can swim and enjoy the waterfall. And tourists can rest while enjoying food and cool air there.

One of the significant factors that make Walakiri Beach famous is a movie entitled “Pendekar Tongkat Mas”. The movie used that beach as one of its backgrounds, after all. The next allure is none other than its beauty. It is because the beach has amazing features as mentioned above. First, it is the white sand where tourists can walk on it comfortably without any footwear. The next stunning feature is the presence of mangroves that scatter in the shore. They look amazing during sunset, so tourists must not miss the chance to take pictures of these objects at the time.
Now let’s talk again about the sand of Walakiri Beach. The fact is that it consists of two different textures. The first one is regular sand with its exotic color. Another one looks like a mixture of cement (formed due to the collision with the seawater). The unique part is that tourists can see clearly the borderline that separates those two. This hill looks amazing with its vast and double-faced grassland vegetation. Called double-faced because the appearance is very different when visited in the rainy and dry seasons. When it’s raining it looks very green like the first picture that seems to take you to New Zealand. While when dry can be very brown as if in Africa. Exotic.
At a glance, Raksasa Tidur Wairinding Hill looks similar to regular hills. However, the unique shape makes it special and has attracted more visitors over time. It is because tourists want to take pictures of the hill from afar and post the photos on social media sites. Not only people can enjoy photography, but they can also explore the site and get to the top of the hill by trekking. From up there, the panorama looks more amusing! It features peaceful nearby mountains and hills! Not to mention the wind feels so soothing, especially in the morning.
What is next? The hill also becomes a perfect location to witness either sunrise or sunset. It is because the site has no obstacles at all. What tourists need to avoid is rainy days, as it is impossible to watch such beautiful sun views.
