Indonesia Trip Overview
Eos Histrio Talautensis or locally recognised “Sampiri Talaud” is a red-blue lorry and could only be found in the Island of Karakelang. To protect this critically endangered species, the community group named Sampiri Information Centre (PIS) want to share the beauty of their nature and how special Sampiri Talaud is in the wild. The three days trekking is catered in a very small group so that it does not bother the habitat. PIS also have a conservation and rehabilitation centre and return the captured bird into the wild.
Join our tour and together share environment protection education to the Locals. Let them know that nature is here to protect and preserve and there are livelihood options that are sustainable and at the same time protecting the Forest.

Day 1: Trip to the Village
Stop At: Melonguane, Melonguane, North Sulawesi, Sulawesi
Day 1
11 AM Arrive at Melonguane Airport
Lunch Bubur Titunuan (North Sulawesi’s corn porridge)
12 PM Travel to Village (D2 / Tuabatu / Ensem / Beo)
4 PM Arrive at accommodation. Settling in
5 PM Swim at beach or sightseeing at nearest waterfall
7 PM Dinner at accommodation – provided by the Host
8 PM Rest

Day 2: Trekking to the Jungle and Birdwatching
Stop At: Melonguane, Melonguane, North Sulawesi, Sulawesi

8 AM Trekking to the Jungle (river walk). Birdwatching along the ways.

3 PM Arrive at camping spot. Depacking
5 PM Bird watching at Sampiri’s sleeping tree
