Stop At: Uluwatu Temple, Jl. Raya Uluwatu Southern part of Bali, Pecatu 80361 Indonesia
Uluwatu Temple sits atop a 100 meter cliff with the Indian ocean as the background. The view is particularly spectacular on the evening (around sunset). Evening performance of Kecak Dance is another ‘must see’ attraction in Uluwatu with first time visitor enchanted by the human sound accompanying the graceful dancers. There are wild monkeys around the temple too which adds to the attraction
Duration: 1 hour 15 minutes
Stop At: Kecak and Fire Dance, Kawasan Wisata Pura Uluwatu, Pecatu 80361 Indonesia
Kecak dance is quite unique as it requires no articifial backdrop or musical instruments. The focus is entirely on the concentric circles of about 50 men, bare chested, wearing distinct Balinese sarong sitting cross-legged around a set of torches in the center. The Kecak dance is simply accompanied by the chanting of chorus of men continuously intoning ‘Cak! Cak! Cak!’ in polyrythmic sounds, representing a monkey army during the whole performance and relates to the shorter version of the epic Ramayana from the Hindu Saga.
As the drama depends entirely on the natural light of day, the conclusion is usually quite spectacular with uluwatu temple sunset backdrop to the night when one of the character, the monkey king, finally set to run amock in firey performance.

Stop At: Jimbaran Beach, Jimbaran 80361 Indonesia
Toes buried in the sand, reddening sky, waves crushing to the beach and the sound of acoustic guitar singers. Those are some of the reasons why people visit Jimbaran. Of course the other is its famous barbeque seafood. Enjoy freshly cooked BBQ seafood by the beachside of Jimbaran.
