Kabupaten Tabanan Trip Overview
We designed this half-day cycling tour for the curious traveler who is interested in fitness, nature and culture, and to provide insights particularly on how Balinese culture attempts to remain in harmony with nature, with communities, and with the Divine. This concept of Tri Hita Karana (Three Reasons for Harmony) are implemented into village life through the parallel structures of organization called:
1. Subak (organizing ‘nature’ through the management of waterways and water-sharing)
3. Banjar (organizing village life through the community hall activities).
4. Desa (maintaining harmony with the Divine powers through the various village temples). On this tour, we show you how to spot these various elements of cultural organization and recognize when you have left one village or community and entered another.
