It is an ancient building that was a justice court palace back in its days. It is the place to announce jurisdiction, legislation, and penalization by the king of the Klungkung Kingdom. The location of this awesome building is in Klungkung Regency. It is one of the places to visit when taking a tour around Besakih in Bali. The Kerta Gosa is a part of a complex of the palace under the name of Klungkung Palace or Puri Agung Semarapura. It was said to be built around 1686 by the first throne holder of the Klungkung Kingdom. Balinese traditional architecture is very clear to see in the building of Kerta Gosa.
