One of the most popular dances from Bali is Barong and Keris Dance. It is a kind of trance dance which means it must be performed by professional dancers only. Uniquely, Barong and Keris Dance is only shown in the morning. It is different from other traditional trance dance that is conducted at night anyway. Tourists and visitors are interested and curious about the dance, not only because of the trance thing but also for the story. The story is actually quite mainstream, about the good versus evil. But since it is performed artistically, it can touch the audience more simply. In the story, the good figure is represented by Barong and the evil figure is namely Rangda. Other characters appearing in the dance are a monkey, Rangda’s bodyguards, Goddess Kunti, and God Shiva. As information, not all stages in Bali present the dance.

Tirta Empul Temple is one of the largest temples in Indonesia. The temple is dedicated to worship Vishnu while Tirta Empul itself means the holy water spring.The temple complex was built for the firstpresident of Indonesia in 1954. Just like any other Hindu temples in Bali, you need to pay attention to the dress code. Wearing a sarong is required and make sure your clothing covers your shoulders and knees. You can bring your sarong or simply rent one at the entrance. The entrance fee is required and the price list is available in the ticket counter. At the central courtyard, you will find the tourists mingle and some sellers sell snacks or fruits. The purification pools are located at the Jaba Tengah. People believe that holy water can cure various illnesses and bad luck. This place is pretty crowded while the pool is only 20 meters long and five meters wide. Still, Tirta Empul Temple is one of the must-visit places in Bali.

He established the palace on the foot of Mountain and provided water sources for people’s farming activities. Ubud Royal Palace is also quite close to the city center where the art market is located. The market was founded by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel who commanded the area from 1800 to 1823. Until now, the Ubud market is the economy symbol of people in this area.
