There are many ancient spots and buildings in Bali that are rich in history to visit. One of them is a building known as Kerta Gosa. It is an ancient building that was a justice court palace back in its days. It is the place to announce jurisdiction, legislation, and penalization by the king of the Klungkung Kingdom. The location of this awesome building is in Klungkung Regency. The Kerta Gosa is a part of a complex of the palace under the name of Klungkung Palace or Puri Agung Semarapura. It was said to be built around 1686 by the first throne holder of the Klungkung Kingdom. Balinese traditional architecture is very clear to see in the building of Kerta Gosa.

It means that life on earth must be kept and lived in harmony and balance between human and God, human and society, and other human beings. Besakih Temple is the biggest temple in Indonesia. It is said as the mother of temples in Bali. Located in Karangasem, this holy temple is already famous worldwide. When you visit the temple, you will find hundreds of stairs that reach a large gate. The gate is the entrance to the main area of Besakih Temple.

Tirta Empul Temple is one of the largest temples in Indonesia. The temple is dedicated to worship Vishnu while Tirta Empul itself means the holy water spring.The temple complex was built for the firstpresident of Indonesia in 1954. Just like any other Hindu temples in Bali, you need to pay attention to the dress code. Wearing a sarong is required and make sure your clothing covers your shoulders and knees. You can bring your sarong or simply rent one at the entrance. The entrance fee is required and the price list is available in the ticket counter. At the central courtyard, you will find the tourists mingle and some sellers sell snacks or fruits. The purification pools are located at the Jaba Tengah. People believe that holy water can cure various illnesses and bad luck. This place is pretty crowded while the pool is only 20 meters long and five meters wide. Still, Tirta Empul Temple is one of the must-visit places in Bali.
