Tallest Waterfalls of Bali & Water Temple Tour (with Lunch)

Sanur Trip Overview

Drive up to north Bali highland, with view of rice field, vegetable field and fruit orchards. A band of monkey can be seen on the hilltop temple with background of the twins: Lake Buyan and, at quite a distance, Lake Tamblingan.

Arriving at parking lot where we will continue the trip on foot. Trek down through jungle vines, bamboo forest, tropical trees, cross the river before you are awarded with a view of three dramatic waterfalls, evenly spaced, but of different heights. Water cascades from 80m above at a rapid rate, hitting the rocks below with such force that the surrounding area is completely covered in a thick spray and, rain-like mist.

Next Visit Ulun Danu temple, founded in the 17th century. It is dedicated to Dewi Danu, the goddess of the waters, and is built on small islands over Lake Beratan. Pilgrimages and ceremonies are held here to ensure that there is a supply of water for farmers all over Bali as part of the Unesco-recognised subak system.
