The sacred sanctuary of Monkey Forest is located on the southern border of Ubud town around 3 kms south of central town with a leading road also with the name ofMonkey Forest.
The monkeys may become aggressive if you invade their private areas ( wanara Wana staff and researcher may occasionally be seen in this areas please do not follow them. It can often seen how the Balinese Macaques are cracking open coconuts. If available they like to eat bananas and papayas, too

Puri Saren Agung is the palace of the Ubud royal family, making it one of the most prominent landmarks in Ubud. It serves as a cultural repository of arts, dance and literature. The gate is an elaborate work of art whose central location is blocked by a wall. The latter is believed to protect the sacred location from evil spirits. The maintenance of Pura Taman Saraswati is overseen by locals who volunteer to clean up the ponds and generally ensure the place of worship remains untainted.
