Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Surabaya – Ijen Crater area
Stop At: Juanda International Airport, Jl. Ir. H. Juanda, Betro, Kec. Sedati, Kabupaten Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur 61253, Indonesia
Upon your arrival in Surabaya airport, meet and greet by our representative who will escort you to Ijen crater area. The drive is about 6 hrs, but you may find it’s interesting and you can also have several photos stops along the way.

Pass By: Probolinggo, Probolinggo, East Java, Java
Located along the main northern coastal route between Surabaya and Banyuwangi, Probolinggo is around 100 kilometres from the former and 200 kilometres from the latter with the Madura Strait to the north and to the south, the spectacular (and highly touristed) Bromo-Tengger-Semeru National Park, the reason most travellers visit Probolinggo.
The fertile hinterland grows sugar and tobacco along with the more usual rice crops and several large sugar mills are major employers in the region

Situbondo is a regency of East Java province. It is located in east end of Java before Banyuwangi. The administrative centre is Situbondo, a small town within the regency. One of the famous tourist sites is Baluran National Park.

In stark contrast to the lush green scenery found elsewhere on the island of Java, the Baluran National Park, located on the east-most edge of Java, consists predominantly of open savannahs, where wildlife roams free. Here one can watch grazing, the large Javan water buffaloes called “banteng”, small Java mouse-deer is known as “kancil”, peacocks strutting about displaying their colourful plumage, eagles flying overhead and macaques fishing for crabs with their tails.
Stop At: Banyuwangi, Banyuwangi, East Java, Java
Java’s land’s end is a pleasant, growing city, home to a large number of Osing people, whose roots reach back centuries in southeast Java. Most travellers pass through on their way to or from Bali by ferry, but the city does make a reasonable and comfortable base to explore the Ijen Plateau and other national parks along the east coast, and there are a couple of reasonable beaches in the vicinity. The town takes pride in its appearance and is a multiple winner of the ‘Cleanest Town in Indonesia’ award.

Day 2: Ijen crater midnight tour – Bangsring Shark Conservation Village – Mt Bromo area
Stop At: Ijen Crater, Banyuwangi 68454 Indonesia
At midnight we will drive to Paltuding village for registration and then trek up to the peak of Ijen crater. Admiring the blue flame unique phenomenon on the crater, observing the local sulfur miners who carry up to 90kg of sulfurs while watching how’s the sky slowly changing its colours. It’s something you won’t forget. Upon completion, return to the hotel for breakfast and checkout.
Ijen plateau or known as ‘Kawah Ijen’ is highly recommended to mountain buffs and hikers. The Plateau was at one time a huge active crater, 134 sq km in area. Ijen is a quiet but active volcano, and the landscape is dominated by the volcanic cones of Ijen (2,368 asl) and Merapi (2,800 asl) on the northeastern edge of the Plateau, and Raung (3,332 asl) on the southwest corner. The vent is a source of sulfur and collectors work here, making the trek up to the crater and down to the lake every day.

Stop At: Bangsring, Wongsorejo, Banyuwangi Regency, East Java, Indonesia
We will also visit Bangsring Shark Conservation Village where host-communities tried to conserve the shark and corals using local wisdom approach. Spend some time for swimming and snorkelling at this unspoiled area before continuing our trip to Mount Bromo.

After completion of today’s tour, we will drive to our hotel in Mount Bromo area, check-in and overnight.

Day 3: Mt Bromo Sunrise Tour – Mt Bromo trekking – Madakaripura Waterfall
Stop At: Mount Bromo, Jl. Bromo Km. 3 Probolinggo City Town, Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park Indonesia
At 03.00 in the early morning, wake up call, and we will bring you to the world’s most famous viewpoint at Mt Penanjakan on the rim of the Tengger caldera to enjoy the sunrise (if we’re lucky) with its young volcanic including Mt Bromo and an active Mt Semeru in the background. Afterwards, the adventure continues to an active Mt. Bromo volcano to climb up 245 steps of stairs (Horse ride is optional), then return to the hotel for breakfast and a short break.

Stop At: Madakaripura Waterfall, Sapeh, Lumbang Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, Probolinggo 67238 Indonesia
Afterwards, we will visit Madakaripura waterfall near Bromo area. Believed to be the final meditation place of military Commander-in-Chief, Gajah Mada, of the great Javanese kingdom of Majapahit in East Java, the towering waterfall is fondly dubbed the eternal waterfall, since its waters never cease to pour down an endless rain of blessings on those fortunate enough to walk underneath it.

After completion of today’s tour, we return to the hotel for resting and overnight.

In the morning after breakfast, free time to explore the surrounding on your own, find your best angle and composition of photos until it’s time for us to check out and leave Mt Bromo to Surabaya airport for your return flight home.
